Contact Lens Hand Soap
Helping Your Eyes Avoid Infection

Contact lens hand soap is one of those extras that should top your shopping list. Despite the fun and glamour the special effects contact lenses can give you, you cannot ignore the fact that we are dealing with a very sensitive part of the body. To ignore personal hygiene when handling contact lenses is asking for trouble, and eye infections.

But obtaining contact lens hand soap is not as simple as it sounds.

Most soap that you use contains oils and perfume, which is fine for normal washing, or showering or just general cleanliness.

However, oil and perfume are not things that you want to introduce to your eyes. Your eyes are sensitive, and the introduction of anything that might irritate them needs to be avoided. So you need special contact lens hand soap. You can buy specially formulated soap in it's own dispenser very reasonably, and you should make it part of your routine to use it before handling your lenses. The lenses themselves will carry bacteria if they are not looked after properly, and one of the easiest ways to introduce bacteria to your lenses is via dirty hands.

Bear in mind that it will prove much more expensive in the long run to keep replacing your lenses before they wear out, than it is to buy and use contact lens hand soap.
